Job Opportunity: Echo Tech / Cardiac Sonographer

Location: Voorhees, New Jersey

Job Description

• Must be willing to float within a group of 5 hospitals and 6 outpatient sites within the skillset area.
• No on-call required.
• First-time travelers are accepted but not preferred.
• ARDMS and RDCS credentials are accepted.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Cardiac Sonographer, with recent experience within the last year.
• ARDMS or RDCS certification.
• Valid license/certification appropriate for Echo Tech / Cardiac Sonographer.
• Government-issued photo ID.
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification (AHA or ARC only).
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (AHA or ARC only).
• Background checks including 7-year criminal history, EPLS/GSA/SAM, HHS/OIG.
• Education verification (diploma or transcript acceptable).
• Physical exam within the last 12 months.
• Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 1 year of start.
• Required immunizations or positive titers: Measles (Rubeola), Mumps, Rubella, Hepatitis B, Varicella.
• Drug screening: 10-panel drug screen without THC within 6 months of start, updated annually.
• Fit mask test completed at designated Occupational Health within the first week of assignment (outside fit tests not accepted).
• Flu vaccination or approved exemption required during flu season.
• Visual acuity exam (20/40 or better).
• Latex questionnaire.
• Professional references (2 required, within last 2 years).
• Employment application and skills checklist (updated annually).
• Work history verification for at least 1 year prior to start date (New Jersey candidates).

Additional Requirements & Notes

• Candidates must complete facility-specific documents including badge photo submission.
• Medication and competency exams as applicable.
• Pass/fail dysrhythmia testing required for certain units (not applicable here but may be relevant depending on assignment).
• Candidates must complete all required documentation by specified deadlines to avoid delays in start date.
• Floating may be required across multiple hospital and outpatient locations within the region.

Summary

This is a 13-week travel contract for an Echo Tech / Cardiac Sonographer position in New Jersey with day shifts and no call. Candidates must hold ARDMS or RDCS credentials and meet comprehensive health, background, and certification requirements. Flexibility to float among multiple sites is required. First-time travelers are welcome but preference is given to those with prior travel experience.
