Job Opportunity: OR (Operating Room) Registered Nurse

Location

• Bridgeport, West Virginia

Assignment Details

• Duration: 13 weeks
• Start: ASAP
• Shift: Nights
• Hours: 12 hours per day, 3 days per week (36 hours/week)
• Schedule: 4 ten-hour days with call rotation
• Call: One weeknight call every 4 weeks (7 PM–7 AM) and one weekend shift call (Friday, Saturday, or Sunday) up to 24 hours per 3-month contract

Job Description

• Provide nursing care in the Operating Room (OR) with experience in all OR areas
• Cross-train to Endoscopy (Endo)
• Support approximately 25 cases per day out of 65 total cases
• Cases include General Surgery, Orthopedics, Neurosurgery, Ophthalmology, ENT, and Vascular (excluding open heart surgery)
• Use of Baxter pumps and robotic systems (Phillips and Dynomap)
• Experience with DaVinci Robot is a significant plus

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of OR nursing experience
• Scrub experience preferred
• West Virginia RN license or Compact license required
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
• Must provide an unexpired driver’s license (within 50-mile radius rule)
• ACLS certification preferred for permanent staff due to sedation practices (not explicitly required for this role)

Additional Information

• No prescreen required for OR
• Facility has 11 procedure rooms: 8 OR suites and 3 Endo suites
• Call shifts include 12-hour nights, Wednesday through Friday

This position is ideal for experienced OR nurses comfortable with a variety of surgical specialties and interested in cross-training in Endoscopy.
