Description

Job Opportunity: Ultrasound Tech Maternal Fetal

Location: Hazle Township, Pennsylvania
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Shift: Day (5x8 Hours) 7:30 AM – 4:30 PM
Hours per Week: 40 hours
Contract Length: 16 weeks


Job Description

  • Proficient in 1st, 2nd, and 3rd trimester scanning including:
    • Viability
    • Growth
    • Biophysical/dopplers
    • Detailed anatomy
    • Amniotic Fluid Index (AFI)

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum of 1 year of experience as an Ultrasound Technologist, with experience within the last year
  • ARDMS certification
  • BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
  • Experience working with Maternal-Fetal patients
  • Experience working with High Risk patients

Background & Screening Requirements

  • Comprehensive background check covering all locations lived/worked in the past 7 years, including:
    • SSN Trace
    • County, State, Nationwide Criminal Search
    • Sex Offender Search
    • DMV check if driving is essential
    • Education Verification
  • EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks required upon hire.
  • Pennsylvania Department of Human Services fingerprint clearance required within 90 days of start (except remote workers outside PA).
  • State-specific searches including Pennsylvania Medicheck and PATCH Search within required timeframes.
  • Child Abuse Search required within 90 days of start.
  • Employment application with 7 years of complete work history and explanations for gaps over 90 days.
  • Minimum of 2 professional references from employment within 12 months of start.

Health & Safety Requirements

  • Physical exam within 2 months of start.
  • Fit test questionnaire and fit mask test required (not for 100% remote non-clinical).
  • Immunizations and titers required:
    • TDAP vaccine within 10 years
    • Negative TB test or chest X-ray as applicable
    • Measles (Rubeola), Mumps, Rubella: positive titer or vaccination series
    • Hepatitis B: positive antibody titer or completed vaccine series (declinations not accepted)
    • Varicella: positive titer or vaccination series
  • Drug testing: Negative 10 Panel or 9 Panel (without THC/Marijuana) within 60 days of start.
  • COVID-19 vaccination or signed declination with facility-specific form.
  • Seasonal flu vaccination or approved exemption required for clinical staff.
  • Respirator medical clearance required annually for candidates starting 04/07/2025 and beyond.

Competency & Testing Requirements

  • Medication Test/Pharmacology Competency Exam required for all RN candidates.
  • Dysrhythmia/EKG Competency Exam required within 12 months of start for RNs & LVNs (exceptions apply).
  • Pass/Fail Testing (EKG/Medication) required for RNs & LVNs except certain specialties.
  • Competency exams must meet or exceed minimum passing scores with limited attempts allowed.

Facility Specific Documents

  • Photo for badge (new candidates starting 3/31/2025 and later): recent, forward-facing, color photo with solid background.
  • Badge request form may be required depending on start date.
  • Affidavit for provisional employment must be completed prior to start.
  • COVID and flu declination forms required if applicable.
