Technologist - X-Ray (Night Shift)

Location: Cedar Rapids, Iowa
Employment Type: Temporary
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Description

• Work approximately 36-40 hours per week; overtime billable after 40 hours.
• Required to work 1-2 of 3 upcoming summer holidays (Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day) unless the unit is closed.
• Equipment used includes Phillips Diagnostic, Carestream portables, Hologic breast machine, Phillips portable, Siemens Cysto, GE OEC C-arms, and Toshiba Fluoro equipment.
• Average daily patient scans per technologist: 100.
• Orientation date available: June 15.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 24 months of X-Ray experience in a clinical or hospital setting.
• ARRT certification required.
• Active Iowa radiology license highly preferred; non-licensed candidates may apply but must obtain the license upon acceptance.
• Experience with GE OEC c-arm equipment is required.
• Driver’s license required.
• Current American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross (ARC) Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
• Skills checklist specific to X-Ray discipline required.
• Professional reference or performance evaluation from within the last 24 months preferred.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Phillips and Siemens Cysto equipment.
• Fluoroscopy experience.
• Recent or current Operating Room competency/experience.
• Experience with Carestream portable equipment.

• Must be available for quick interview scheduling.
• Employee separation policy restricts certain past employees from working travel contracts in this market.
• Call back and on-call pay available with specified minimums.
• EMR system used: EPIC.
