Physical Therapist (PT) - Temp Position

Location: Fort Dodge, Iowa
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: Days (8 hours per day)

Job Overview

• Provide professional and clinical care as part of an interdisciplinary team.
• Work 4 days per week in an outpatient clinic and 1 day per week in acute care.
• May be asked to float within the same discipline across local campuses.
• Required to work 1-2 of 3 summer holidays (Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day).
• Opportunity to work 1-2 acute care weekends during the contract (Saturday 7:00 AM–12:00 PM, Sunday 7:00 AM–11:00 AM) is available but not mandatory.
• Patient focus includes orthopedic, neurological, and safety discharge cases.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of current Physical Therapist experience (work history must reflect 24 months).
• At least 1 year of previous PT experience specifically required.
• Outpatient experience required; inpatient experience preferred.
• EPIC electronic medical record experience required.
• Valid Driver’s License.
• Current American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross (ARC) Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Skills checklist specific to Physical Therapist discipline required.

Preferred Qualifications

• Completion of at least 1 prior travel contract preferred.
• Professional references or performance evaluations within the last 24 months preferred.

Additional Information

• Local candidates are not eligible; candidates must have a taxable address more than 60 miles from the facility.
• Orientation is held weekly on Mondays.
• On-call responsibilities include Saturday and Sunday morning shifts as noted above.
• Pay multipliers apply for overtime, holidays, call back, and charge/precept roles (details available upon request).

This position is ideal for a Physical Therapist with outpatient and some acute care experience, comfortable with occasional weekend shifts and floating within the discipline. Prior travel experience is preferred but not mandatory.
