Job Opportunity: Dialysis Registered Nurse

Location: Cleveland, Ohio
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Work Schedule

• Day shift, 3 shifts per week, 12 hours each (7:00 AM – 7:30 PM)
• On-call rotation and every other weekend required

Job Description

• Provide intermittent hemodialysis (IHD) services in a dialysis unit and at the bedside for ICU patients who cannot be transported
• Connect and disconnect patients from peritoneal dialysis treatments
• CRRT therapy is not provided (managed by ICU nurses)
• Primarily use Fresenius dialysis machines; full orientation provided

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Ohio
• Minimum 1.5 years of dialysis experience, with dialysis experience within the last year
• Current ACLS certification
• Current BLS certification issued by the American Heart Association or American Red Cross
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)

Application Requirements

• Employment application including 3 years prior work history with at least 2 years in acute care and similar specialty area
• Two professional references from within one year of start date (manager, ANM, supervisor, charge nurse, or director)
• Completion of facility-specific online training modules prior to start (must be done on a computer using Google Chrome)
• Baseline competency exams (medication administration and ECG interpretation) completed at orientation, with remediation if needed

Additional Notes

• Candidates can start with fingerprinting results pending if fingerprinting is completed prior to start
• Orientation includes training on Fresenius dialysis machines
• Facility accommodates latex allergies; notification required to ensure latex-free gloves are stocked
• Candidates with gaps longer than 6 months between assignments may need to repeat orientation and modules
• Legal name must be consistent across all documentation and onboarding systems
