Registered Nurse - Urgent Care (Alaska)

  • Juneau, Alaska

Work Schedule

  • Urgent care hours: 8:00 AM – 8:00 PM
  • Shifts vary across days and hours
  • 36 hours per week

Job Summary

  • Provide clinical services within an ambulatory urgent care setting.
  • Assist patients, providers, and clinic staff to ensure quality care and efficient clinic operations.
  • Lead and direct clinic staff, including front desk and patient care functions.
  • Maintain medication inventory and supplies (excluding those on Warehouse PAR system).
  • Perform quality control checks on Point of Care tests.
  • Document all care and services accurately and timely.
  • Oversee opening and closing of provider clinics.
  • Communicate effectively with other departments to support patient care and clinic operations.
  • Maintain a clean, safe working environment and report equipment or safety issues.
  • Participate in mandatory training, in-services, and staff meetings.
  • Adhere to infection control policies and procedures.

Required Qualifications

  • Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Alaska.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
  • Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN).
  • Minimum of 1 year of ambulatory care experience within the last year.
  • Urgent care experience.
