Cath Lab Registered Nurse Travel/Contract Job - Newnan, Georgia


Position Details

  • Job Title: Cath Lab Registered Nurse
  • Location: Newnan, Georgia
  • Employment Type: Travel/Contract
  • Contract Length: 12 weeks
  • Shift: Day shift, primarily 4 days of 10 hours (7:00 AM - 5:30 PM), with 1 week of 5 days of 8 hours (8:00 AM - 4:30 PM) every 6 weeks
  • Hours per Week: 40 hours
  • Schedule Notes:
    • Rotates between 4/10-hour days and 5/8-hour days every 6 weeks
    • Includes weekend call requirements (1-2 weekends per 6-week period)
    • Call required 12-14 days per 6-week period
    • Must remain within 30 minutes of the facility during call
    • Floating within the facility as needed, within scope of practice
  • Holiday Work:
    • Expected to work major holidays if they fall during the assignment
    • If 1 major holiday occurs, must work it
    • If 2 major holidays occur, must work both
    • If 3 major holidays occur, must work 2 of them
    • Major holidays include Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving/Black Friday, Christmas Eve/Day, New Year’s Eve/Day

Required Qualifications

  • Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Georgia
  • Minimum 2 years of Cardiac Cath Lab nursing experience
  • Cardiac Cath Lab experience within the last year
  • BLS (Basic Life Support) certification issued by the American Heart Association or American Red Cross
  • Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)

Additional Information

  • Orientation:
    • Non-billable orientation hours vary by contract length (e.g., 8 hours for 8-week assignment)
    • Maximum return-to-office (RTO) time is 7 days
  • Compliance: Full compliance with all requirements is mandatory to start on time; delays in compliance may result in a 2-week start delay due to orientation scheduling
  • Local candidates accepted at the same rate
  • Facility Policies:
    • Candidates must review and sign the facility’s Code of Conduct and Dress/Professional Appearance Policy prior to start

This position offers a structured schedule with a mix of extended shifts and standard shifts, requires solid clinical experience, and mandates comprehensive compliance with licensure, certifications, health screenings, and background checks. It is suitable for RNs with at least 2 years of experience, including those new to travel nursing.
