Work Schedule

• Night shift, 4 days per week (Tuesday to Friday)
• 10-hour shifts (23:30 to 10:00)
• Call required with response time within 30 minutes

Job Description

• Perform sonography exams in various hospital departments including surgery, emergency, and patient floors
• Ability to handle critical and highly stressful situations with composure
• Must communicate effectively both orally and in writing
• Physical demands include standing, walking, bending, squatting, twisting, and occasionally lifting/pushing/pulling up to 100 pounds
• Keen hearing and visual acuity required

Required Qualifications

• Graduate of an Ultrasound or Sonography program
• Minimum 1 year of experience as an Ultrasound Technologist within the last year
• ARDMS certification
• ARRT certification
• Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification

Compliance and Verification Requirements

• Primary source verification of original transcripts and Arkansas Department of Health licensure
• Background checks including 7-year history, state-specific searches, sex offender search, EPLS/GSA/SAM, HHS/OIG checks
• Drug testing: Negative 10-panel drug screen required within 30 days of start; instant tests not accepted
• Physical exam required within 1 year of start (time sensitive: must be completed within 72 hours of contract signing)
• Immunizations and health screenings required within 72 hours of contract signing:

  • TDAP vaccine (within 10 years)
  • Negative TB test or chest X-ray (within 1 year)
  • Rubeola (Measles), Mumps, Rubella: Positive titer or 2 vaccines required; boosters if low/equivocal titer
  • Hepatitis B: Positive titer, series, or declination accepted
  • Varicella: Positive titer or 2 vaccines; booster if low/equivocal titer
  • Drug testing plan must be in place within 72 hours of contract signing
• Seasonal flu vaccination or facility-specific declination required during flu season (Oct 1 - Mar 31)
• COVID vaccination documentation required; exemptions or declinations must be communicated

Additional Requirements

• Two professional references within 3 years (preferred within 2 years)
• Resume or employment application required
• Work history verification for past 2 years
• Annual competency exams and skills checklist updates
• Facility-specific documents and orientation forms must be completed prior to start
• Safety sensitive designation under Arkansas Act 593 (Medical Marijuana regulations)

Work Environment

• Hospital setting, open 24/7
• On-call rotation participation required
