Job Opportunity: Dialysis Registered Nurse
Location: Oxford, North Carolina
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Work Schedule
- Shift: 3 shifts per week, 12 hours each (Day shift, approximately 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM)
- Total hours per week: 36
Required Qualifications
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in North Carolina
- Minimum 2 years of dialysis experience, including dialysis experience within the last year
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association or American Red Cross
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
- Acute care experience
Compliance and Documentation Requirements
- Government-issued photo ID must be carried during hours of service
- Proof of eligibility to work (I9, E-Verify) and attestation required
- Background check: 7-year criminal history check covering all locations lived/worked in the past 7 years, updated annually
- Education verification or diploma acceptable if education cannot be verified
- NURSYS verification required for all RNs
- Physical exam attesting ability to meet physical demands, updated annually
- Drug screening: 9-panel drug test within the last 12 months (instant acceptable)
- Immunizations and health screenings:
- Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap within 10 years or declination accepted
- Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 6 months prior to start; annual TB questionnaire if prior positive
- Measles, Mumps, Rubella: positive titer, 2 MMR vaccines, or declination required (titer/vaccines preferred)
- Hepatitis B: titer, vaccine series, or declination
- Varicella: positive titer, 2 vaccines, or declination (titer/vaccines preferred)
- Seasonal flu vaccination or facility-specific medical/religious exemption required during flu season (September to March)
Certifications and Competencies
- ACLS required prior to start; must be current throughout assignment
- BLS required for all candidates
- Medication test/pharmacology competency exam required as applicable
- Competency exams required
Additional Requirements
- Proof of 2 clinical references (hospital evaluations accepted)
- Completion of facility-specific online training modules prior to start
- Signed job description acknowledgment required
- Facility-specific exemption forms for flu vaccine if applicable (religious or medical)
