Description
Labor and Delivery RN
Location: Westerville, Ohio
Employment Type: Long-Term Assignment (13 weeks)
Shift: Primarily nights (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM) initially, with possible rotation to days (7:00 AM – 7:30 PM) based on department needs
Job Description
- Provide nursing care in Labor and Delivery with rotating shifts based on operational needs.
- Agency staff hours are not guaranteed; may be down staffed, reassigned to open shifts later in the week, or floated to other units or care sites to maintain contracted hours.
Required Qualifications
Licensure & Certifications
- Valid RN license in Ohio.
- BLS issued by American Heart Association.
- NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification.
Experience
- Minimum of 1 year of Labor and Delivery experience.
- Labor and Delivery experience must be within the last year.
Education
- Associate of Science in Nursing or Associate Degree in Nursing.
Health & Compliance Requirements
- COVID-19 vaccine proof required, including booster valid through September 2025 (declination or exemption requires agency letterhead; declination not accepted in CA or IL).
- MMR: Proof of two vaccinations or IgG titer lab report.
- Varicella: Proof of one vaccination or IgG titer lab report.
- Influenza vaccine is optional but recommended (proof or declination with agency letterhead).
- Hepatitis B vaccination series must be initiated prior to start (1st shot before start, 2nd shot 30 days later, 3rd shot 6 months later); titers not accepted.
- 2-Step PPD or IGRA (Quantiferon/Tspot) required; positive TB requires chest x-ray within last year (or within 5 years depending on region).
- Fit test for respiratory protection required.
- Physical/Health statement documenting fitness to work within the last year.
- 10-panel drug screen completed within 30 days of start (no THC allowed).
Professional & Background Checks
- Resume and skills checklist within the past year.
- Two professional references.
- Signed confidentiality, conflict of interest, code of conduct, and integrity/audit services forms.
- Federal, nationwide, and county criminal background check covering last 7 years, including SSN verification.
- Education verification of highest academic degree or diploma.
- EPLS (Excluded Parties List System) and OIG (Office of Inspector General) checks dated within past 30 days.
- National Sex Offender Registry (NSO) check dated within 30 days.
- System access form completed and uploaded one week before start.
- Standard I-9 verification completed by agency.
Additional Notes
- Agency staff may be floated to other units or care sites within the health system to maintain hours.
- No guaranteed hours; staffing is based on operational needs and may change weekly.
