CVOR Registered Nurse Travel/Contract Job in York, Pennsylvania
Position Overview
- Specialty: Registered Nurse (CVOR)
- Location: York, Pennsylvania
- Employment Type: Travel/Contract
- Shift: Day shift, 3 shifts per week, 12 hours each (6:00 AM - 6:00 PM)
- Weekly Hours: 36 hours
- Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Requirements
- Valid RN license in Pennsylvania
- Minimum 2 years of Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR) experience, with CVOR experience within the last year
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
- Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
- Experience with Epic electronic health record system
Schedule Details
- Alternating days off
- Call days and weekend coverage as described above
Patient Population
- May care for COVID-19 patients
Required Documentation & Compliance
- Background Checks:
- 7-year criminal background check within 30 days of start, updated annually
- Pennsylvania State Police PATCH search (must be finalized prior to start)
- EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks within 30 days of start
- PA FBI fingerprinting required within 1 year of start; candidate may start with results pending but must have results on file within 45 days or will be removed from assignment
- Pennsylvania Child Abuse Search required within 5 years; candidate may start with results pending but must have results on file within 45 days or will be removed from assignment
- Employment History:
- Most recent resume/application required
- Two professional references within 3 years

Health & Immunization Requirements
- Physical exam within 90 days of start, signed by MD, DO, PA, or NPT
- Negative QGold or TSpot TB test within 90 days of start (PPD not accepted)
- Vaccinations or positive titers required for:
- Rubeola (Measles) – 2 doses or positive titer
- Mumps – 2 doses or positive titer
- Rubella – 2 doses or positive titer
- Varicella – 2 doses or positive titer
- Hepatitis B – positive titer or full vaccine series (3 doses) plus declination form if applicable
- Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap – within 10 years of start
- Seasonal Flu Vaccine or valid medical/religious exemption required during flu season (declinations not accepted)
- COVID-19 vaccine, medical/religious exemption, or declination accepted
- Respiratory Safety Clearance required within 1 year of start and renewed annually
- Fit mask test preferred but not required
- Negative 9-panel drug test within 1 year (requirement for agency only, not facility)
Competency & Testing Requirements
- Medication/Pharmacology competency exam as applicable
- Dysrhythmia/EKG competency exam (pass/fail) required within 72 hours of contract signing (not required for OR nurses)
- Acknowledgement of pass/fail testing required within 48 hours of contract signing (not required for OR nurses)
Facility-Specific Requirements
- Clear, passport-style photo for badge (professional appearance required)
- Completion and signing of facility-specific documents including:
- Medical Statement Non-Employee Ability to Work form
- Commitment to Health & Wellness
- Code of Conduct
- Confidentiality Agreement
- Non-Employee Affidavit
- I9 Attestation and Documentation Attestation (completed by agency)
- Completion of Learning Management System (LMS) modules on PC/laptop prior to start (not on cell phones)
- New Hire Orientation required by end of first day
Additional Notes
- Maximum Return to Office (RTO) time: 7 days
- Tobacco and fragrance free environment; candidates must be notified prior to submission
- Clinical screening and manager interview required before final approval
