Job Opportunity: MRI Tech
Location: Edmonds, Washington
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: Night shift, 3 shifts per week, 12 hours each (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM)
Hours per Week: 36 hours
Job Description
- Position involves working in Radiology/Cardiology specialty.
- Unit accepts first-time travelers.
- Candidates must have at least 2 years of experience in the specialty.
Required Qualifications
- Valid MRI Technologist license in Washington.
- MRI Technologist with at least 1 year of experience, including experience within the last year.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Current ARRT MR certification.
Schedule
- 3 shifts per week, each 12 hours, night shift (7 PM to 7 AM).
Required Documentation & Compliance
- Government-issued photo ID (Driver’s License or State ID).
- Social Security Card (as applicable for I9 verification).
- Background check within 90 days covering all locations lived/worked in the past 7 years; must be updated annually.
- Education verification required (diploma/transcript may be requested if education cannot be verified electronically).
- WA State Patrol Search (WATCH) required within 90 days of start; updated every 2 years for certain facility types.
- Physical exam within 1 year of start, signed by MD, NP, PA, or DO, confirming ability to work.
- Immunizations and health screenings including:
- Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap (within 10 years or declination accepted).
- Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 12 months, updated annually.
- MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella) vaccination or positive titer.
- Hepatitis B vaccination or signed declination.
- Varicella vaccination or positive titer.
- Seasonal flu vaccine during flu season or declination.
- COVID vaccination documentation preferred; declinations accepted.
- 9 Panel Drug Screen within 12 months of start.
- Respiratory Safety Clearance (RespSafety) required annually for travel candidates.
- Fit mask test required annually (travel only).
- References: Minimum 2 references covering 1 year of employment in a comparable specialty/setting within the last 3 years.
- Employment application covering at least last 5 years of employment with explanations for gaps or overlaps.
Certifications & Competencies
- Must maintain required certifications (BLS, ARRT MR).
- Additional certifications may be required based on unit or specialty (verify with clinical leadership).
- Medication competency exams and other specialty-specific competency exams as applicable.
Facility & Regional Requirements
- Completion of annual regulatory and specialty-specific training modules via assigned LMS platform.
- Photo for badge with neutral background required.
- Float policy acknowledgment: may be required to float to other nearby facilities.
- WA Multi-State Licensed Nurses Demographic Attestation required if working with an out-of-state compact license.

- This is a travel contract position open to candidates separated from other Providence facilities for at least 3 months.
