Job Opportunity: Mammography Tech

Location: Chambersburg, Pennsylvania
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Work Schedule

• Monday to Friday, varying shifts between 6:30 AM and 8:00 PM (examples: 6:30 AM–3:00 PM, 7:00 AM–3:30 PM, 7:30 AM–4:00 PM, 11:30 AM–8:00 PM)
• No weekends required
• Holidays as needed
• No call or floating required
• Typical shift example: Day shift, 5 days a week, 8 hours per day (40 hours/week)

Job Description

• Position involves working in a Pre-Screen Unit where clinical fit is assessed before final approval by management.
• May care for COVID-19 patients.
• Facility is tobacco and fragrance free; candidates must be notified prior to submission.
• EPIC experience is required.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of experience as a Mammography Technologist.
• Mammography Technologist experience within the last year.
• ARRT certification required.
• Experience with Epic.

Certifications & Competencies

• ARRT certification mandatory.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certifications may be required depending on unit specifics.
• Competency exams such as Medication Test/Pharmacology and Dysrhythmia/EKG may be required as applicable.
• Acknowledgement of Pass/Fail Testing required for RNs (if applicable).

Background & Compliance Requirements

• 7-year criminal background check required within 30 days of start; updated annually.
• Pennsylvania State Police PATCH search required within 1 year of start; must be finalized prior to start.
• Pennsylvania Child Abuse Search required within 5 years; candidate may start with results pending but must be finalized within 45 days.
• Pennsylvania FBI fingerprinting required within 1 year; candidate may start with results pending but must be finalized within 45 days.
• EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks required within 30 days of start.
• Education verification of highest degree required.
• Drug testing: Negative 9-panel drug screen required within 1 year of start (specific to agency).

Health & Immunization Requirements

• Physical exam required within 90 days of start, signed by MD, DO, PA, or NP.
• Negative TB test (QGold or TSpot) within 90 days; PPD not accepted.
• Vaccinations or positive titers required for:

  • Rubeola (Measles)
  • Mumps
  • Rubella
  • Varicella
  • Hepatitis B (positive titer or full vaccine series plus declination form)
• Flu vaccine required during flu season or valid medical/religious exemption (declinations not accepted).
• COVID-19 vaccine or valid exemption/declination accepted.
• Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap vaccine required within 10 years of start.
• Respiratory safety clearance required within 1 year and renewed annually.
• Fit testing preferred but not required.

Facility Specific Requirements

• Clear, professional passport-style photo required for badge.
