MRI Tech Travel/Contract Position - Texas

Job Details

• Location: Midland, Texas
• Employment Type: Travel/Contract
• Contract Length: 13 weeks
• Shift: Evening, Monday to Friday, 3:00 PM to 11:00 PM (40 hours/week)
• Call Schedule: Every other week from Friday end of shift to Monday 7:00 AM

Required Experience

• Minimum 2 years of experience in Radiology/Cardiology specialty
• Prior travel experience required
• Siemens equipment experience strongly preferred

Required Qualifications

• MRI Technologist with at least 2 years of experience
• MRI Technologist experience within the last year
• Prior travel experience
• Valid state license for MRI Technologist
• Government-issued photo ID (Driver’s License or State ID)
• Background checks including 10-year criminal history, EPLS/GSA/SAM, HHS/OIG, and state-specific checks for Texas (DPS Criminal History, Employee Misconduct Registry, Employability Status Check) within 30 days of start
• Education verification and highest level of education documentation as applicable
• Certification and competency requirements:

  • BLS (Basic Life Support) - AHA Instructor, Provider, or RQI accepted
  • ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) - AHA Instructor, Provider, or RQI accepted (if applicable)
  • National certification for MRI Tech: ARRT (MR) or ARMRIT required (ARRT (R) alone is not acceptable)
  • Competency exams including medication/pharmacology and age-specific competencies within 1 year of start
• Physical exam within 1 year of start, to be completed within 72 hours of contract signing
• N95 Fit Test (no PAPR accepted), valid within 1 year of start
• Immunizations and health screenings required within 72 hours of contract signing:

  • Negative TB test or chest X-ray (PPD, QGold, or TSpot within 12 months)
  • Rubeola (Measles), Mumps, Rubella: Positive titer or 2 vaccines required
  • Hepatitis B: Positive titer or completed series (3 doses) required
  • Varicella: Positive titer, 2 vaccines, or documented history of chickenpox required
  • Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap vaccine within 10 years
  • Seasonal flu vaccination or agency declination (required October 1 - March 31)
• Drug testing: Negative 10-panel drug screen within 30 days of start; additional onsite drug screen upon arrival
• References: 2 references within 3 years of start
• Employment application or resume required
• Annual renewal of background check and skills checklist required
• Facility-specific documents including confidentiality and security agreements, drug screening consent, TB questionnaire, and compliance checklist must be reviewed and signed prior to start

• Candidate must complete all required facility-specific orientation and compliance forms prior to start
• All certifications and licenses must be verified and valid within 30 days of start
• Facility requires strict adherence to all health and safety protocols, including immunizations and fit testing
