Job Details

• Specialty: Registered Nurse (ER)
• Shift: Variable evening and night shifts

  • Evening: 2:00 PM – 2:30 AM (3 shifts of 12 hours)
  • Night: 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM (3 shifts of 12 hours)
• Hours per week: 36 hours
• Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend, occasionally two in a row (rare)
• Float: No floating between units
• Patient Ratio: 1:4
• Facility Type: Short Term Acute Care
• Total Beds: 59
• Charting System: Epic
• Scrub Color: Any color allowed except OR, Critical Care, ED, and Maternal Child units where scrubs are provided
• Parking: No fee

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Oregon
• Minimum 2 years of Emergency Department (ED) experience, with ED experience within the last year
• Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)

Health and Safety Requirements

• Physical Exam: Within 1 year of start, signed by MD, NP, PA, or DO, indicating ability to work with or without accommodation
• Immunizations and Testing:

  • TDAP vaccine within 10 years or signed declination
  • Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 12 months, updated annually
  • 2 MMR vaccines or positive titers for Rubeola (Measles), Mumps, and Rubella
  • Hepatitis B vaccination series or signed declination
  • Varicella vaccination or positive titer
  • Seasonal Flu vaccine during flu season or signed declination
  • COVID vaccination record preferred; declinations accepted with adherence to masking policies
• Drug Testing: 9-panel drug screen within 12 months of start
• Respiratory Safety Clearance: Required annually for respirator use (travel only)
• Fit Mask Testing: Required for travel candidates, updated annually; not required for students or Per Diem after specified dates

Competency and Training Requirements

• Medication/Pharmacology Competency Exam: As applicable by profession
• Unit-Specific Competency Exams: Including EFM training for Labor & Delivery RNs (if applicable)
• Annual Regulatory and Specialty-Specific Training: Assigned via LMS (Workramp) with pathways for RNs and non-RNs
• Epic Training: Completion of Epic modules required within a week of orientation; transcripts must be submitted

• Floating Policy: A float policy acknowledgement is required; traveler may be required to float to other nearby facilities within the system
