Shift: Day shift, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM (5 days a week, 40 hours/week)
Schedule Details:

• Regular shift: 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM
• Saturday PET rotation: 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM
• On-call rotation every 4th week (Saturday and Sunday, 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM)

Job Description

• Operate nuclear medicine and PET/CT imaging equipment and related instrumentation.
• Make imaging decisions regarding technique, positioning, and radiation protection.
• Administer radiopharmaceuticals under Radiologist supervision and document accordingly.
• Maintain sterile technique and prevent cross-contamination.
• Maintain accurate records, including proper labeling of images.
• Rotate within the department performing exams in both acute care hospital and outpatient clinical settings.

Required Qualifications

• Valid Nuclear Medicine Technologist license in Ohio
• Minimum 1 year of experience as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist within the last year
• Current ARRT (N) or NMTCB certification
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification

Required Certifications & Competencies

• Basic Life Support (BLS) – AHA only, required for all candidates.
• Documentation of hospital-required and unit-specific competency requirements.
• Unit-specific competency exam required; must be updated if there is a gap of more than 3 years between assignments.

Background and Compliance Requirements

• Government-issued photo ID must be carried during hours of service.
• Background check within 1 year of start, updated annually, covering all locations lived/worked in past 7 years.
• Monthly EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks.
• Ohio Department of Developmental Disabilities Online Abuser Registry search.
• Fingerprinting required only for certain departments (Early Learning Center or Outpatient Behavioral Health).
• Drug screening: 9-panel drug screen within 30 days of start; re-screen if gap >6 months between assignments.
• Physical exam within 1 year of start (required by credentialing, not client).
• Fit mask test within 12 months of start (except lab workers); must be updated annually.
• Annual TB questionnaire and negative TB test or chest X-ray as applicable.
• Required immunizations or titers: MMR (Rubeola, Mumps, Rubella), Varicella, Hepatitis B (or signed declination), Tdap within 10 years.
• Seasonal flu vaccination required for clearance; declinations not accepted.
• COVID vaccination preferred but not required.

Additional Requirements

• Verification of last 3 years of employment and 2 professional references within 2 years.
• Completion of employment application and unit-specific skills checklist (updated annually).
• Radiation badge provided for candidates working in Cath Lab unit.
• Completion of facility-specific documents and acknowledgments prior to start, including but not limited to:

  • Background authorization and disclosure
  • Affiliate access form
  • Respirator medical evaluation questionnaire (if applicable)
  • Drug-free workplace agreement
  • Standards of conduct and ethics acknowledgments
  • Agency onboarding slideshow and attestation

Experience & Travel Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of specialty experience in PET/CT nuclear medicine.
• First-time travelers are welcome; prior travel experience is not required.

This is a 13-week travel contract for a Nuclear Medicine Tech with PET/CT experience or eligibility, working primarily day shifts with some weekend rotations and on-call duties.
