ICU Registered Nurse Travel/Contract Job - Lubbock, Texas

Job Details

Position: ICU Registered Nurse
Location: Lubbock, Texas
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 14 weeks
Shift: Evening (3 shifts per week, 12 hours each; 3:00 PM to 3:00 AM)
Hours per Week: 36
Patient Ratio: 1:2 to 1:3
Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
On-call: Not required
Block Schedules: Not required
Floating: Position floats between units

Required Qualifications

Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Texas
Minimum 2 years of ICU (Intensive Care Unit) experience, including experience within the last year
Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
Experience in cardiac, neuro, general surgery, cardiology, and neurology care
NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification or proficiency

Additional Requirements

Passport-style badge photo with neutral background required
Must comply with facility dress code: solid navy blue uniforms or scrubs for licensed nursing personnel; print tops not allowed except in specific units
Float policy acknowledgment required (may float to other nearby facilities)
Completion of annual regulatory and specialty-specific training modules via LMS (Workramp)
Background check within 90 days of start, covering all locations lived/worked in past 7 years; must be updated annually
Education verification required for nursing degree; international education requires additional documentation
Competency exams and medication/pharmacology competency as applicable
Physical and health documents must be current and uploaded as required

Notes

48-hour shifts are approved
Free parking available in unrestricted employee/visitor lots
No prior travel experience required; first-time travelers are welcome
