ICU Registered Nurse Travel/Contract Job - Lubbock, Texas

Job Details

  • Position: ICU Registered Nurse
  • Location: Lubbock, Texas
  • Employment Type: Travel/Contract
  • Contract Length: 14 weeks
  • Shift: Evening (3 shifts per week, 12 hours each; 3:00 PM to 3:00 AM)
  • Hours per Week: 36
  • Patient Ratio: 1:2 to 1:3
  • Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
  • On-call: Not required
  • Block Schedules: Not required
  • Floating: Position floats between units

  • Level II Trauma Center
  • Total Staffed Beds: 379

Required Qualifications

  • Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Texas
  • Minimum 2 years of ICU (Intensive Care Unit) experience, including experience within the last year
  • Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
  • Experience in cardiac, neuro, general surgery, cardiology, and neurology care
  • NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification or proficiency

Additional Requirements

  • Passport-style badge photo with neutral background required
  • Must comply with facility dress code: solid navy blue uniforms or scrubs for licensed nursing personnel; print tops not allowed except in specific units
  • Float policy acknowledgment required (may float to other nearby facilities)
  • Completion of annual regulatory and specialty-specific training modules via LMS (Workramp)
  • Background check within 90 days of start, covering all locations lived/worked in past 7 years; must be updated annually
  • Education verification required for nursing degree; international education requires additional documentation
  • Competency exams and medication/pharmacology competency as applicable
  • Physical and health documents must be current and uploaded as required

  • 48-hour shifts are approved
  • Free parking available in unrestricted employee/visitor lots
  • No prior travel experience required; first-time travelers are welcome
