Description
Job Opportunity: Occupational Therapist - Inpatient Rehab
Location: Medford, Oregon
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: Day shift, Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM (8 hours/day)
Patient Ratio: 1:1
Floating: Position may float between units, primarily IRF with occasional acute care depending on census
On-Call: Not required
Weekends: Not required
Block Schedules: Not required

Required Qualifications
- Valid Occupational Therapist license in Oregon
Health and Safety Requirements
- Physical exam within 1 year of start, signed by MD, NP, PA, or DO, confirming ability to work
- Fit mask testing required for travel candidates unless exempted by specialty (not required for outpatient PT)
- Immunizations and documentation required:
- TDAP (within 10 years) or declination
- Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 12 months, updated annually
- MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella) vaccination or positive titer with acceptable alternatives
- Hepatitis B vaccination series or signed declination
- Varicella vaccination or positive titer with acceptable alternatives
- Seasonal flu vaccine or declination during flu season
- COVID vaccination record preferred; declinations accepted with adherence to masking policies
- Drug screening: 9-panel drug screen within 12 months of start (instant acceptable)
Background and Verification
- Background check within 90 days covering all locations lived/worked in past 7 years, updated annually
- Education verification required for all candidates
- Employment application covering at least last 5 years of employment
- Minimum of 2 professional references covering 1 year of employment in a comparable specialty/setting within last 3 years
- Work history verification required if exceptions to references are requested
- State-specific searches and registry checks as applicable (Oregon, Washington, Alaska)
Additional Requirements
- Float policy acknowledgment required (may float to other nearby facilities)
- Passport-style badge photo with neutral background required
- Completion of annual regulatory and specialty-specific training modules via LMS (Workramp)
- Respiratory safety clearance required annually for travel candidates
- Competency and skills checklists as applicable, updated annually
Notes
- No weekend or on-call requirements
- 8-hour shifts, Monday through Friday
- Position primarily in inpatient rehab with some acute care floating
- Epic charting system used
- Free parking available onsite
This position is ideal for Occupational Therapists seeking a travel contract with a structured weekday schedule and a supportive acute care environment. First-time travel therapists are welcome.
