Inpatient Pharmacist Manager - Colorado

Schedule

• Day shift, Monday through Friday, 40 hours per week
• Must be willing to fill in on evenings, overnights, and weekends as needed

Job Description

• Manage inpatient pharmacy operations ensuring safe, appropriate, and cost-effective medication therapies
• Develop and enforce policies and procedures for medication use and storage
• Maintain medical staff approved formulary and adequate medication supply
• Supervise medication storage, preparation areas, and pharmacy personnel
• Ensure strict control and documentation of controlled substances
• Maintain competency records and licensure for pharmacy staff
• Assume Staff Pharmacist duties as needed
• Develop job descriptions, performance standards, and provide staff evaluations and education
• Monitor workload and maintain appropriate staffing levels
• Ensure compliance with hospital policies and all applicable federal, state, and local laws and regulations
• Participate in strategic planning and quality improvement initiatives for pharmacy services
• Attend management meetings

Required Qualifications

• Valid Hospital Pharmacist license in Colorado
• Minimum of 3 years of hospital pharmacist experience, including experience within the last year
• BLS certification issued by the American Heart Association
• ACLS certification
• Flu vaccine required (no exemptions accepted) from October 1 through April 1
• Experience with Epic

Additional Requirements

• Must comply with radius rule: permanent address must be at least 75 miles from the facility
• CAPS registration required (may take up to two weeks to obtain)
• Accurate personal information (SS# and DOB) must be provided to avoid onboarding delays
