Job Opportunity: Echo Tech / Cardiac Sonographer
Location: Plainview, Texas
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Description
- Multispecialty role requiring experience in:
- General ultrasound
- Fetal ultrasound
- OB (Obstetrics)
- Breast ultrasound
- Transvaginal ultrasound
- Vascular ultrasound
- Echocardiogram (adult echo, contrast echo, echo stress treadmill)
- No floating between units
- On-call required:
- Monday to Friday, 5 PM – 8 AM
- 24-hour coverage on Saturday and Sunday
- Weekends required on-call
- Patient ratio: 8:1
- Shift: Day shift, 4 days a week, 10 hours per day (7:00 AM – 5:30 PM)

- 49 staffed beds
- Level IV Trauma Center
- Free parking in any unrestricted space
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year of experience as an Echo Technologist, including experience within the last year
- Experience as an Ultrasound Technologist
- Experience in Maternal Fetal Medicine Sonography
- Experience as an OB Technician
- Experience as a Breast Sonographer
- Experience as a Vascular Sonographer
Experience Requirements
- Must have comprehensive multispecialty ultrasound and echocardiogram experience as listed above

- Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap (within 10 years or declination accepted)
- Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 12 months, updated annually
- Measles, Mumps, Rubella (2 MMR vaccines or positive titer or declination)
- Hepatitis B vaccination or signed declination
- Varicella vaccination or positive titer or declination
- Seasonal flu vaccine during flu season or declination
- COVID vaccination record preferred (declinations accepted)
Additional Requirements
- Passport-style badge photo with neutral background required prior to start
- References: Minimum 2 references covering 1 year of employment within last 3 years in comparable specialty/setting
- Employment application covering at least last 5 years of employment
- Skills checklist updated annually (if applicable)
- Completion of annual regulatory and specialty-specific training modules via LMS (Workramp)
- Float policy acknowledgement: May be required to float to other nearby facilities within the system
- On-call and weekend availability required as specified
