Registered Nurse (RN) - Home Health

Location

• Saco, Maine
• Territory assigned within York County after offer

Employment Type

• Travel contract
• Contract length: 26 weeks

Schedule

• Shift: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
• Weekly guaranteed hours: 40
• Weekend hours: 36 (every other weekend rotation with a weekday off, or permanent schedules such as Tuesday-Saturday with Sunday and Monday off, or Sunday-Thursday with Friday and Saturday off; schedule based on agency needs)
• Call requirements: No overnight call; callback required 2-4 times per month between 5:00 PM and 8:00 PM if needed (notification by 5:00 PM on the day of call)

Job Description

• Specialty: Home Health Nursing
• Patient load: Case manages 20-25 patients with an expectation of 5-6 visits per day; may be reassigned as a revisitor based on agency needs
• Patient types: Adult medical-surgical, oncology, cardiac, neurological, respiratory, wound care, gastrointestinal, genitourinary
• EMR system: EPIC
• Equipment provided: Agency laptop, iPhone with case and chargers, mouse, nursing supply bin, nursing bag with vital signs equipment, INR machine, agency bag (all must be returned upon contract completion)

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Maine
• Minimum 2 years of Home Health nursing experience, including experience within the last year
• BLS certification
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
• Experience with EPIC documentation system
• Experience in a Home Health setting

Preferred Qualifications

• Skills in IV therapy, tube feeds, tracheostomies, compression wraps, port access, ostomies, chest tubes, suprapubic catheters, lab draws
