Job Opportunity: Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) - Travel/Contract
Location: Saint Louis, Missouri
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: Nights (3 shifts per week, 12 hours each, 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM)
Hours per Week: 36 hours

Job Description
- Position: Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT)
- Required to assist with percutaneous tracheostomy and bronchoscopy procedures
- No floating outside scope of practice
- Weekend requirement: 2-3 weekends per 6 weeks
- On-call required
- Locals and first-time travelers accepted
- Pending state license accepted
- Return-to-Office (RTO) restrictions: 7 days
- Guaranteed minimum hours: 36 per week
Required Qualifications
- Valid Registered Respiratory Therapist license in Missouri
- Minimum 3 years of experience as a Respiratory Therapist, including experience within the last year
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) certification
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
- Experience assisting with percutaneous tracheostomy procedures
- Experience assisting with bronchoscopy procedures
Compliance and Documentation Requirements
- Government-issued ID (e.g., driver’s license or state ID)
- Criminal background check within 6 months, including statewide and nationwide searches
- Quarterly EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks
- Education verification of highest related degree (no pending at start)
- Professional license primary source verification (NURSYS for Missouri)
- Physical exam within 1 year of start
- Drug screening within 1 year of start, including specific drug panels (amphetamines, benzodiazepines, cocaine, opiates, etc.)
- Immunizations and health screenings:
- Negative TB test or chest x-ray within 1 year
- Tdap vaccine or declination (required every 10 years)
- Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella immunity or vaccination/declination as applicable
- Seasonal flu vaccination or approved exemption during flu season (Sept 30 - Apr 1)
- Fit mask testing (N95 respirator) annually; must be able to shave facial hair if needed for proper fit
- HIPAA acknowledgement, confidentiality form, hand hygiene, fingernail, and dress code policy acknowledgements
- Regulatory compliance education and orientation modules (completed annually via online platform)
- Unit-specific competency exams and skills checklists (updated annually)
