Description

Oncology Infusion Registered Nurse (Travel/Contract)

Location: Minneapolis, Minnesota
Contract Length: 13 weeks


Position Details

  • Specialty: Oncology Infusion RN
  • Shift: Day shift, Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM (5x8 hour shifts)
  • Patient Ratio: 1:7
  • Facility Type: Outpatient clinic
  • Charting System: Epic (Excellian)
  • Parking: Free in any unrestricted space
  • Scrub Color: Navy
  • Floating: Yes, within scope to meet facility needs
  • Block Scheduling: Accommodated
  • Locals: Not accepted within 100-mile radius
  • Pending License: Accepted
  • Cancellation Policy: Client may cancel up to 3 shifts without penalty; on-call hours do not count toward guaranteed hours

Required Qualifications

  • Valid RN license in Minnesota
  • Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
  • Minimum 2 years of infusion nursing experience, including infusion experience within the last year
  • Oncology nursing experience
  • Certifications:
    • Basic Life Support (BLS)
    • Chemotherapy Certification (ONS/ONCC)
  • No weekend shifts required
  • No on-call required

Clinical Responsibilities / Special Requirements

  • Administer infusions for all oncology diagnoses, gastrointestinal/genitourinary diagnoses
  • Manage OB fluids, nausea/vomiting regimens
  • Administer research protocols, migraine protocols, antibiotics
  • Experience with BCG, cystoscopy, intrathecal chemotherapy

Additional Notes

  • First-time travel nurses are not accepted
  • Return-to-Office (RTO) restrictions ideally no more than 5 days

This role is ideal for an experienced oncology infusion nurse seeking a travel contract in an outpatient clinic setting with a structured day shift schedule.
