ICU Registered Nurse Travel/Contract Position - Tulsa, Oklahoma
Job Details

Required Qualifications
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Oklahoma
- Minimum 1 year of ICU (Intensive Care Unit) experience, with ICU experience within the last year
- Completion of at least one prior travel assignment
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) certification
- NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification
- Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
- Experience with Epic electronic health record (EHR) system
Clinical Focus / Procedures
- Common diagnoses and procedures include:
- Continuous Renal Replacement Therapy (CRRT)
- Cardiac care including cardiac surgery and CABG with hemodynamic monitoring
- Respiratory failure and ventilator management
- Diabetic Ketoacidosis (DKA)
- Altered mental status
- Special procedures on unit:
- Central line and arterial line management
- Basic dysrhythmia recognition and management

- Attendance Policy: Zero-fault attendance policy; any missed shift counts as unexcused. Two missed shifts result in a warning; three may result in cancellation.
Compliance & Onboarding Requirements
- Background Check: Complete 7-year criminal background check including all counties worked in last 7 years, sex offender registry, nationwide social security trace; no exceptions for hits.
- Education Verification: Copy of diploma or transcript required (unofficial transcripts acceptable if graduation date is shown). Education verification required if transcript/diploma unavailable.
- Competency Exam: Unit-specific competency exam must be submitted.
- Mandatory Modules: Complete facility-specific Oracle and WorkRamp training modules prior to start.
- Photo for Badge: Clear, front-facing photo with plain white background required before start.
- Signed Documents: Job description, confidentiality agreement, handbook code of conduct acknowledgment, and marketing consent form must be signed prior to start.
- Physical Exam: Within 1 year of start, must state "cleared to work" with physician signature.
- TB Testing: Negative PPD, Q-Gold, or T-Spot within 1 year; chest X-ray required if prior positive.
- Immunizations:
- Measles, Mumps, Rubella (MMR) titers or vaccination series as needed
- Hepatitis B series or positive titer or signed declination
- Varicella titer or vaccination or documented history
- Annual flu vaccination or approved exemption required during flu season (Oct 1 - May 1)
- Drug Testing: 10-panel drug screen within 30 days of start with negative results.
- References: Two professional references required prior to start.
- Work History Verification: Verification of last 3 years of work history required; attestations acceptable; can be pending at start.
- Performance Evaluation: Annual evaluation required if worked with agency for 1+ year; otherwise, two references from Charge RN or higher acceptable.
- Skills Checklist: Annual skills checklist for unit required.
Time Off / Scheduling
- Request Time Off (RTO): No holiday RTO allowed; maximum 5 total days off during 13-week assignment. No additional time off allowed after submission or while on contract.
- Compliance Lab Visit: Must complete lab visit within 48-72 hours of signing contract.
This position is ideal for experienced ICU RNs with recent Epic experience and prior travel contract success, seeking a night shift travel assignment in a Level 3 Trauma acute care hospital.
