Job Opportunity: Emergency Room Registered Nurse (RN)
Location: Everett, Washington
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Description
- Position: Emergency Room Registered Nurse (ER RN)
- Start Date: ASAP
- Shift: Day shift, 3 shifts per week, 12 hours each (11:00 AM – 11:30 PM)
- Hours per week: 36
- Every other weekend required
- Call not required
- No local candidates accepted
- Guaranteed hours: Clinician may be called off for 1 twelve-hour shift per 2-week period
- Work environment: Very busy, high acuity setting with patient cases ranging from low acuity to critically ill, including Stroke, STEMI, trauma, behavioral health needs
- Average daily census: Approximately 220 visits per day
- Facility type: Level II Trauma Center
- Total staffed beds: 571 (across campuses)
- Charting system: EPIC
- Parking: Facility paid
- Scrub color: Any except reddish orange
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Washington
- Minimum 2 years of Emergency Department (ED) experience, including experience within the last year
- Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
- Current certifications (must be valid and issued by recognized organizations):
- BLS (Basic Life Support) issued by American Heart Association or Canadian Heart and Stroke Foundation
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support)
- PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) or ENPC (Emergency Nursing Pediatric Course)
- TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course)
- NIHSS (National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale) Certification
