Location: Quincy, Illinois

Job Details
- Fast-paced Emergency Room (ER) nursing position
- Level 1 trauma experience is helpful
- Night shift: 4 shifts per week, 12 hours each (7:00 PM to 7:00 AM)
- Total hours per week: 48
Required Qualifications
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Illinois
- Minimum of 1 year of Emergency Department (ED) experience, with recent ED experience within the last year
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) certification
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
- PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) certification
- NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification
- Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
Experience
- Minimum years of experience: Not explicitly stated; implied ER and trauma experience preferred

Compliance and Documentation Requirements
- Government-issued photo ID (2 forms of ID required)
- Background checks including:
- 7-year criminal background check within 30 days of start
- SSN trace, county searches for last 7 years, national criminal and sex offender checks
- Education verification (diploma or transcripts acceptable)
- EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks (must be done annually and within 30 days of start)
- Drug testing: 10-panel test dated within 30 days of start, no rapid results accepted
- Competency exams including medication/pharmacology test and unit-specific competency exams (minimum passing score 80%)
- Mandatory OSHA training and Core Parts I, II, III training (must be updated annually)
- Various facility-specific documents and acknowledgments required prior to start (e.g., safety information, code of conduct, confidentiality agreements)
- Physical exam within 1 year (system requirement) and within 30 days (facility requirement)
- References: at least 2 professional references within 3 years of start
- Employment application and work history verification for last 3 years required
Additional Notes
- Computer-based learning modules must be completed prior to start (approximately 4 hours)
- Photo for badge required (headshot, shoulders up, JPEG format)
- Parking tag request required for all candidates
- Annual updates required for many certifications and background checks
