Job Opportunity: Interventional Radiology Tech (Travel/Contract)
Location: Chesapeake, Virginia
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Summary
- Specialty: Radiology / Cardiology (Interventional Radiology)
- Shift: Day shift, Monday-Thursday, 6:00 AM or 6:30 AM to 4:30 PM or 5:00 PM (4x10 hour shifts)
- Rotating on-call required
- Epic electronic health record experience required
- Neurovascular experience preferred
Required Qualifications
- Valid Interventional Radiology Technologist license in Virginia
- Minimum 3 years of Interventional Radiology Technologist experience, including experience within the last year
- ARRT CI (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists - Cardiovascular Interventional) certification required
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required (AHA only)
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) certification required (AHA only)
- Experience with Epic electronic health record system
Compliance & Documentation Requirements
- Government-issued photo ID must be carried during work hours
- Background checks: 7-year criminal history check covering all locations lived/worked in past 7 years, EPLS/GSA/SAM, HHS/OIG checks required and must be updated annually
- Fingerprinting required via Virginia VSP National Criminal Background Check process
- Primary source verification of state license required
- Physical exam within 12 months of start date, updated annually
- Fit test for N95 mask required within 1 year of start date; PAPR not allowed
- Negative TB test (PPD, QGold, or Tspot) within 1 year of start date; annual testing required
- Immunization/titer requirements within 10 years for:
- Rubeola (Measles)
- Mumps
- Rubella
- Hepatitis B (or declination)
- Varicella (or declination, except for Mother Baby/infant care specialties)
- Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap vaccine required within past 10 years for certain units (not applicable here)
- Seasonal flu vaccination required annually between October 31 and April 30; medical/religious exemptions allowed with mask requirement
- COVID-19 vaccine preferred but not required; documentation collected if available
- Negative 10-panel drug screen within 12 months of start date
Additional Requirements
- Passport-style photo (shoulders up, front-facing, plain background) required before start
- Completion of unit-specific skills checklist annually
- Proof of 2 professional references required
- Completed employment application/resume required
- Acknowledgement of orientation safety manual and pass/fail testing as applicable
- Medication/pharmacology competency exam and color blindness testing as applicable
