Description
MRI Tech Travel/Contract Position
Location: Oxford, North Carolina
Shift: Day shift, 6:30 AM – 2:00 PM (5 days/week, 40 hours/week)
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Summary
- Perform MRI technologist duties with experience on Siemens Altea equipment (experience required).
- Work hours: 8 hours per day, Monday through Friday.
Required Qualifications
- Valid MRI Technologist license in North Carolina.
- Minimum of 1 year of MRI Technologist experience, including experience within the last year.
- Valid ARRT certification.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
Compliance and Documentation Requirements
- Government-issued photo ID must be carried during work hours.
- I-9 attestation and proof of E-Verify compliance required.
- Background check: 7-year criminal history check within one year of start, updated annually; includes Social Security trace, county and nationwide checks, sex offender registry, education verification. Instant background checks accepted if pending.
- EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks required within 30 days of start and updated with contract renewals.
- Education verification required; diploma acceptable if education cannot be verified.
- Physical exam attesting ability to meet physical demands, updated annually.
- Drug screening: 9-panel drug test within last 12 months (instant acceptable).
- Immunizations and health screenings:
- Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap within 10 years or declination accepted.
- Negative TB test (PPD, QGOLD, or TSPOT) within 6 months prior to start; chest x-ray and annual questionnaire if previously positive.
- Measles, Mumps, Rubella: Positive titer, 2 MMR vaccines, or declination required (titers/vaccines preferred).
- Hepatitis B: Titer, vaccine series, or declination required.
- Varicella: Positive titer, 2 vaccines, or declination required (titers/vaccines preferred).
- Seasonal flu vaccination or facility-specific medical/religious exemption required during flu season (September 18 – March 31).
Certifications and Competencies
- BLS certification required for all candidates.
- ACLS certification preferred.
- Competency exams and medication/pharmacology tests as applicable.
- Facility-specific orientation and safety manual acknowledgment required.
Additional Requirements
- Proof of two clinical references or hospital evaluations.
- Completed employment application or resume.
- Skills checklist updated annually for applicable units.
- Facility-specific online training modules must be completed prior to or shortly after start.
Notes
- Religious and medical exemption forms for flu vaccine must be completed and approved if applicable.
- Facility requires strict adherence to background and health screening protocols.
- Candidate must carry government-issued photo ID during all hours of service.
