Job Opportunity: Physical Therapist - Acute Care Hospital
Location: Lubbock, Texas
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: Day (5x8 hours), 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Hours per Week: 40 hours

Job Description
- Position is for an Acute Care Physical Therapist.
- No floating between units.
- Reduced orientation: 0 hours Non-Billable Orientation (NBO) compared to standard 40 hours.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Physical Therapist license in Texas
- Minimum 1 year of experience as a Physical Therapist
- Physical Therapist experience within the last year
Orientation & Training Requirements
- Completion of annual regulatory and specialty-specific training modules via LMS (Workramp).
- Facility-specific training including Epic system modules may be required.
- Competency exams and medication/pharmacology competency as applicable.
Health & Safety Requirements
- Physical exam within 1 year of start, signed by MD, NP, PA, or DO.
- Fit mask test (respirator clearance) required for travel starts after 2/5/2024, updated annually.
- Immunizations and screenings required:
- Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap (within 10 years or declination accepted)
- Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 12 months, updated annually
- MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella) vaccination or positive titer
- Hepatitis B vaccination or signed declination
- Varicella vaccination or positive titer
- Seasonal flu vaccine or declination during flu season
- COVID vaccination record preferred (declinations accepted)
- 9 Panel Drug Screen within 12 months of start (instant acceptable).
Background & Documentation Requirements
- Government-issued photo ID (Driver’s License or State ID).
- Social Security Card (as applicable).
- Background check within 90 days covering all locations lived/worked in past 7 years; updated annually.
- Education verification required.
- Employment application covering at least last 5 years.
- Minimum of 2 professional references covering 1 year of employment in a comparable specialty/setting within last 3 years.
- State-specific background checks and registries as applicable (e.g., Washington State Patrol Search).
Uniform & Parking
- Licensed personnel dress code: solid navy blue uniforms or scrubs (no print tops except in specific units).
- Free parking available in unrestricted employee/visitor lots.
Additional Notes
- Floating policy acknowledgment required; candidate may be required to float to other nearby facilities within the region.
- Passport-style badge photo required for badge issuance.
- Some facility-specific forms and attestations may be required prior to start.
