Job Opportunity: Interventional Radiology Registered Nurse
Location: Fayetteville, North Carolina
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Details
- Specialty: Registered Nurse – Interventional Radiology / Special Procedures
- Shift: Day shift, 4 days per week, 10 hours per day (7:00 AM – 5:00 PM)
- Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
- Floating: Required to float within scope to meet facility needs between like units
- Block Scheduling: Open to accommodating
- Locals: Not accepted (50-mile radius rule from main campus)
- First-time travelers: Accepted
- Call: Days and call required; callouts for scheduled shifts must be made up as deemed necessary
- Guaranteed Hours: Call-off policy allows 2 shifts off per 13-week assignment; all contracted shifts beyond that are guaranteed
- Return Staff Policy: Must be gone for 1 year to return as a traveler
- Contract Limit: Maximum of 2 contracts (can extend once), then must be gone for 6 months before returning

Required Qualifications
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in North Carolina
- Minimum 2 years of Interventional Radiology nursing experience, with experience within the last year
- Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) certification
Background and Verification Requirements
- Background check required within 6 months of start, including SSN trace, 7-year county residence, nationwide search, sex offender search, and international search if applicable
- Education verification related to specialty required (high school verification not accepted)
- Transcript or diploma may be required if education verification cannot be completed
- Drug testing and physical exam must be current and compliant

- Must complete and sign facility-specific documents prior to start, including:
- Job description acknowledgment
- Confidentiality and information agreement
- Patient identification agreement
- Conflict of interest questionnaire
- Staff call out acknowledgment
- Corporate code of conduct acknowledgment
- Policy tech access acknowledgment
- Professional appearance acknowledgment
- Emergency contact form
- Parking registration (if driving)
- Photo for badge (passport-style, professional, no large earrings, face jewelry, unnatural hair colors, or head coverings unless religious)
- Completion of mandatory orientation and facility modules prior to start
- Return staff must comply with facility’s return policies
Additional Notes
- Candidates must be prepared for floating between like units as needed
- Interview availability must be provided upon submission
- Facility uses Epic for charting and provides scrubs
- Callouts for scheduled shifts require makeup shifts as determined by the department
