Location: Steamboat Springs, Colorado
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Details
- Specialty: Radiology / Cardiology (Nuclear Medicine Technologist / PET/CT)
- Facility Type: Level 3 trauma regional hospital
- Shift: Monday to Thursday, 7:00 AM – 4:30 PM (4 days/week, 9 hours/day, 36 hours/week)
- Schedule may flex for critical staffing needs
- No weekend, on-call, or floating requirements
- Must be flexible with schedule changes if critical staffing needs arise
- Equipment used: Siemens, EVO, SPECT, GE
- Charting system: Epic
- Scrub color: Grey
Required Qualifications
- Nuclear Medicine Technologist with a minimum of 2 years of experience
- Experience as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist within the last year
- Minimum 2 years of IV experience
- Current BLS certification
- CNMT or ARRT (N) certification
Background and Compliance Requirements
- 7-year background check within 60 days of start, including:
- SSN Trace
- Colorado Statewide CBI
- Education verification (3rd party or transcript/diploma)
- FACIS III or equivalent
- Sex offender search
- OFAC sanctions list search
- EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks within 60 days of start
- Colorado CAPS check results within 60 days of start
- Drug testing within 30 days of start and updated annually (specific panel required)
- Physical exam within 1 year of start, signed by MD, DO, NP, or PA
- Fit mask test within 12 months of start and updated annually (specific mask models required)
- Immunizations and titers required:
- TDAP within 10 years or signed declination
- Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 1 year
- MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella) immunity via titer or vaccines
- Hepatitis B immunity or declination
- Varicella immunity or vaccines
- COVID vaccine proof or signed declination (acceptable vaccines: AstraZeneca, Pfizer, Moderna)
- Color blind testing: Ishihara exam required prior to start (online testing not accepted)
Competency and Certification Exams
- Medication Test/Pharmacology Competency Exam (updated annually)
- Competency Exam (updated annually, minimum 80% score)
- Core Part I, II, III exams (updated annually, minimum 80% score)
- OSHA Mandatory training (updated annually, minimum 80% score)
Documentation and Verification
- Valid Driver’s License/State ID (clear copies front/back)
- Proof of name change if applicable
- Employment application with 3 years of employment history, including explanations for gaps over 30 days
- Work history verification for last 3 years
- Two professional references from the last two years (one from employment within the last year), from Charge RN, Manager, Supervisor, or above
- UCHealth CO CAPS Release Authorization annually (includes 5 years of address history)
- Employee Data Sheet to be completed within 24 hours of signing
Additional Notes
- Return to Office (RTO) days max: 10 days approved
- RTO not allowed during these periods in 2026:
- June 28 – July 9
- September 2 – September 12
- October 25 – November 4
- Flexibility may be considered for harder-to-fill positions
