Description

Registered Nurse (ICU) - Travel Assignment

Location: Lander, Wyoming
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Hours per Week: 36

Job Description

Provide critical care to patients with severe medical conditions such as heart attack, stroke, shock, severe trauma, and respiratory distress.
Assess patient conditions and develop/implement care plans.
Treat wounds and provide advanced life support.
Assist physicians with procedures.
Monitor and record patient vital signs.
Manage and adjust ventilators, intra-aortic balloon pumps (IABP), and other medical equipment.
Administer intravenous fluids and medications.
Perform suctioning as needed.
Collaborate with the critical care team.
Respond to life-saving situations using established nursing protocols.
Act as a patient advocate and provide education/support to patient families.
Care for pre- and post-operative patients.
Occasionally care for pediatric/adolescent patients (no dedicated pediatric unit).
May float between two campuses depending on census.

Required Qualifications

Valid RN license in Wyoming
Minimum of 2 years of ICU (Intensive Care Unit) experience, including experience within the last year
ACLS certification
BLS certification issued by the American Heart Association
PALS certification issued by the American Heart Association or ENPC certification issued by the American Heart Association
TNCC certification
Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
