X-Ray Tech (Radiology / Cardiology) - Travel/Contract

Location: Roanoke, Virginia
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Position Details

• Outpatient X-Ray Technician role
• Shift: Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM (5 days x 8 hours)
• No on-call required
• Patient population includes neonates, infants, adolescents, adults, pediatrics, and geriatrics
• Work setting: Adult and Pediatric Outpatient

Required Qualifications

• Valid Radiology Technologist license in Virginia
• Minimum of 1 year of Radiology Technologist experience within the last year
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification (AHA only)
• Experience as an X-Ray Technician
• Experience with Epic system

Compliance and Documentation Requirements

• Drivers License/State ID with an address more than 100 miles from the facility required within 48 hours of signing
• E-Verify or attestation required
• 7-year background check covering all locations lived/worked in the past 7 years, completed within 1 year of start
• EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks required within 30 days of start and updated for contract renewals
• Education verification of highest earned degree required
• Physical exam within 1 year of start confirming freedom from communicable diseases
• Negative TB test (PPD, QGold, or TSpot) or chest X-ray within 1 year, updated annually
• Fit test for mask within 1 year, updated annually (not required for students)
• Negative 10-panel drug screen within 30 days of start
• Immunizations or positive titers required for: Rubeola (Measles), Mumps, Rubella, Hepatitis B, Varicella
• Seasonal flu vaccination documentation or declination with masking requirement during flu season
• Two clinical references required
• Completed employment application/resume
• Annual skills checklist update required
• Photo for badge (professional, plain background, no selfies or filters)
• Completion of new hire paperwork and compliance checklists prior to start
• Orientation manual review and acknowledgment required before start

Additional Notes

• Facility allows calling off 1 shift per 2 weeks
• All requests for return to office (RTO) must be included with submission
• No floating or on-call duties specified
• Candidates must comply with facility-specific access and confidentiality agreements within 48 hours of signing
• VA State Police Search completed onsite on first day of orientation for certain candidates (no action required before start)
