X-Ray Tech (Radiology / Cardiology) - Travel/Contract
Location: Roanoke, Virginia
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Position Details
- Outpatient X-Ray Technician role
- Shift: Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM (5 days x 8 hours)
- No on-call required
- Patient population includes neonates, infants, adolescents, adults, pediatrics, and geriatrics
- Work setting: Adult and Pediatric Outpatient
Required Qualifications
- Valid Radiology Technologist license in Virginia
- Minimum of 1 year of Radiology Technologist experience within the last year
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification (AHA only)
- Experience as an X-Ray Technician
- Experience with Epic system
Compliance and Documentation Requirements
- Drivers License/State ID with an address more than 100 miles from the facility required within 48 hours of signing
- E-Verify or attestation required
- 7-year background check covering all locations lived/worked in the past 7 years, completed within 1 year of start
- EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks required within 30 days of start and updated for contract renewals
- Education verification of highest earned degree required
- Physical exam within 1 year of start confirming freedom from communicable diseases
- Negative TB test (PPD, QGold, or TSpot) or chest X-ray within 1 year, updated annually
- Fit test for mask within 1 year, updated annually (not required for students)
- Negative 10-panel drug screen within 30 days of start
- Immunizations or positive titers required for: Rubeola (Measles), Mumps, Rubella, Hepatitis B, Varicella
- Seasonal flu vaccination documentation or declination with masking requirement during flu season
- Two clinical references required
- Completed employment application/resume
- Annual skills checklist update required
- Photo for badge (professional, plain background, no selfies or filters)
- Completion of new hire paperwork and compliance checklists prior to start
- Orientation manual review and acknowledgment required before start
Additional Notes
- Facility allows calling off 1 shift per 2 weeks
- All requests for return to office (RTO) must be included with submission
- No floating or on-call duties specified
- Candidates must comply with facility-specific access and confidentiality agreements within 48 hours of signing
- VA State Police Search completed onsite on first day of orientation for certain candidates (no action required before start)
This position is ideal for experienced outpatient X-Ray Technologists with strong clinical imaging skills and proficiency in Epic and Siemens systems, seeking a 13-week travel contract in Virginia with a consistent weekday day shift schedule.
