Occupational Therapist (OT) - Inpatient Rehab Therapy

Location: Jerome, Idaho
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: Day shift (8:30 AM – 5:00 PM)
Hours: 40 hours per week (5 days, 8-hour shifts, Monday to Friday)

Job Details

• Work setting includes Acute Inpatient and Swing Bed units; may float to a nearby medical center when census is low.
• Patient load: 8 to 10 patients per day, with one therapist per day.
• Common patient diagnoses: orthopedic total joints, neurological conditions (strokes, occasional brain injuries), medical cases, and general ICU patients.
• Electronic Medical Record system used: EPIC.
• Orientation: 2-3 days of unit/department-specific onboarding.
• Dress code: Scrubs permitted but must not match colors of other departments (specific colors provided upon hire).
• Holiday coverage may be required.

Required Qualifications

• Must hold a current Occupational Therapist license.
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required.
• Minimum of 1 year licensed experience in acute inpatient or rehab settings.
• Candidates with less than 1 year of acute care or OT experience may be considered if they have demonstrated success in previous placements.
• First-time travel therapists are welcome to apply.

Additional Information

• Must be able to start in June.
• The facility enforces a 50-mile radius rule; candidates must reside outside this radius to be considered.
• No weekend shifts; scheduling is fixed with no self-scheduling option.
• OT Manager is available on each shift.
• No Rehab Aides or COTAs staffing support.

This position offers a focused inpatient rehab therapy role with a consistent day schedule and a supportive but somewhat isolated work environment.
