Job Opportunity: Endoscopy Registered Nurse (Travel/Contract)
Location: Milwaukie, Oregon
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: Day (4x10 hours), 7:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Hours per Week: 40
Job Description
- Position floats between units based on skill set.
- On-call required: 1 night per week and 1 weekend per 4-week schedule period.
- Weekends required only when on call (1 weekend per 4-week schedule).
- Patient ratios: 1:3 on the floor, 1:1 in the procedural room.
- Must have experience as an endoscopy circulator, including teaching and pre/post-operative care.
- Vehicle required for assignment due to floating between multiple facilities within reasonable distance.
- Facility type: Short Term Acute Care with 59 staffed beds.
- Charting system: Epic.
- No parking fees.
- Scrub color: Any color allowed except OR, Critical Care, ED, and Maternal Child units where scrubs are provided.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Oregon.
- Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN).
- Minimum of 1 year of endoscopy experience, with endoscopy experience within the last year.
- Teaching experience in endoscopy nursing.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association or Canadian Heart & Stroke Foundation.
- Electronic Fetal Monitoring (EFM) certification.
- NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification.
