CVOR Tech - Travel/Contract
Location: Springfield, Illinois
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Details
- Shift: Day shift, 4x10 hours (6:15 AM - 4:45 PM)
- Average Daily Census: 10 patients, 4 operating rooms
- Weekend Requirement: On-call every third weekend
- On-call: Once or twice a week, including every third weekend
- Floating: May float within scope to Main OR or Baylis day surgery as needed
- Block Schedule: Possible with manager approval
- Locals Accepted: Yes, no radius restrictions
- Scrub Color: Provided
- Charting System: Cerner
- Parking: Permit required, no cost

- Specialty Experience:
- Cardiovascular OR (CVOR), General OR, Teaching Hospital, Level I Trauma Center experience required
- Cardiovascular Case Skills:
- Aortic Aneurysm Repair
- Atrial Septal Defect Repair
- Coronary Artery Bypass Graft (CABG)
- Endovascular Aortic Repair (EVAR)
- Mitral Valve Replacement
- Pericardial Window
- Transcatheter Aortic Valve Replacement (TAVR)
- Vascular Case Skills:
- Abdominal Aortic Aneurysm Repair
- Aortobifemoral Bypass
- Aortoenteric Fistula Repair
- Arteriovenous Fistula Repair
- Carotid Endarterectomy
- Endovascular Aneurysm Repair
- Femoral Popliteal Bypass Graft
- Laparoscopic Assisted Cases
- Thoracic Endovascular Aortic Repair (TEVAR)
- Vein Stripping

- General Surgery Skills:
- Inguinal/Umbilical Hernia Repair
- Laparoscopic Assisted Procedures
- Whipple Procedure
- Thoracic Case Skills:
- Laparoscopic Assisted Cases
- Lung Resection via Thoracotomy
- Mediastinoscopy
- Video-Assisted Thoracoscopic Surgery (VATS)
- Trauma Case Skills:
- Amputations
- Gunshot/Stab Wounds
- Motor Vehicle Accident (MVA) Multiple Injuries
- Fire Safety Skills: Required

Required Qualifications
- Valid CVOR Technologist license in Illinois
- Minimum 1.5 years of CVOR Technologist experience
- CVOR Technologist experience within the last year
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by American Heart Association or Red Cross
Facility & Work Environment
- Acute Care Hospital, Level I Trauma Center
- Magnet recognized facility
- Total staffed beds: 562
- Facility accommodates latex allergies
Additional Notes
- Guaranteed hours subject to client call-offs (up to 36 hours per 13-week assignment without pay)
- On-call shifts count as called-off shifts if used in lieu of cancellation
- Time off requests must be discussed with manager
This position is suitable for first-time travel clinicians.
