Job Opportunity: Operating Room Registered Nurse (RN) - Travel/Contract
Location: Seaside, Oregon
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: Day (4x10 hours), 7:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Hours per Week: 40 hours
Job Description
- Position: Operating Room RN Circulator
- Experience requested in circulating for endoscopy and orthopedic cases
- Float between units as needed
- On-call required: typically 2 days per week plus some weekends on rotation
- Weekend call shift rotation: Friday 6:30 AM to Monday 6:30 AM
- Expected patient ratio: 1:1
- Must live within 30 minutes of the hospital for call shifts
- EPIC electronic health record experience is mandatory
- Vehicle required for assignment
- No 48-hour shifts approved
- Scrub color: Any for all units including outpatient PT; OR/L&D scrubs provided
- Parking: No fee

Required Qualifications
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Oregon
- Minimum 1 year of recent Operating Room (OR) Circulator experience within the last year
- PALS certification issued by American Heart Association or Canadian Heart and Stroke Foundation
- Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification
- NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification
- Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
- Experience with EPIC electronic health record system
Health and Safety Requirements
- Physical exam within 1 year of start, signed by MD, NP, PA, or DO, indicating ability to work with or without accommodation
- Fit mask test (respirator clearance) required annually for travel candidates
- Immunizations and screenings required:
- Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap (within 10 years or declination accepted)
- Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 12 months, updated annually
- Measles (Rubeola), Mumps, Rubella: 2 MMR vaccines or positive titer or signed declination
- Hepatitis B: vaccination series or signed declination; special rules for Alaska placements
- Varicella: 2 vaccines or positive titer or signed declination
- Seasonal Flu vaccine during flu season or signed declination
- COVID-19 vaccination record preferred; declinations accepted with adherence to masking policies
- Drug screening: 9-panel drug screen within 12 months of start (instant acceptable)
Additional Requirements
- Must complete annual regulatory and specialty-specific training modules via assigned learning management system
- Must complete EPIC training modules within a week of orientation (transcripts required)
- Float policy acknowledgment required; may be asked to float to other nearby facilities
- Call shifts require living within 30 minutes of the hospital
- Vehicle required for assignment
