Registered Nurse - PCU (Night Shift) - Fayetteville, North Carolina

Job Details

Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: Night (4 shifts of 12 hours each; 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM)
Hours per Week: 48
Unit: Progressive Care Unit (PCU)
Patient Ratio: 1 nurse to 4-5 patients
Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
Float Requirement: Must float within scope to like units as needed
Block Scheduling: Open to accommodating block scheduling
Travel Pairs: Not accepted
Local Candidates: Not accepted (50-mile radius restriction from main campus)
Return Staff Policy: Must be gone for 1 year to return as a traveler
Contract Limit: Maximum of 2 contracts (can extend once), then must be gone for 6 months before returning
Guaranteed Hours: Call-off policy allows 2 shift call-offs per 13-week assignment; after that, all contracted hours are guaranteed

Required Qualifications

Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in North Carolina
Minimum 2 years of experience in Progressive Care Unit (PCU), with PCU experience within the last year
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association
Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification
NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification
Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
