Job Opportunity: Dialysis Registered Nurse
Location: Bend, Oregon
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 8 weeks
Work Schedule
- Shift: 4 days per week, 10-hour shifts (8:00 AM – 6:30 PM)
- Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
- On-call Requirement: Yes, 6:30 PM – 8:00 AM and 24 hours on Sunday
- Holiday rotation included
- Nurse may be placed in charge RN role
- Floating within scope to nearby facilities may be required
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Oregon
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
- Minimum 1 year of dialysis experience, with dialysis experience within the last year
- ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support certification
- BLS - Basic Life Support certification issued by American Heart Association
Background and Compliance Requirements
- 7-year criminal background check required within 90 days of start, updated annually
- EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks required within 90 days of start
- Primary source verification of state license required
- Education verification and diploma/transcript on file
- Annual skills checklist required
- Facility-specific confidentiality, compliance, and contractual agreements must be signed before start
- Passport-style photo required for badge within 48 hours of signing
Health and Safety Requirements
- Physical exam within 1 year of start
- Negative TB test (QGold) within 1 year; if positive, chest X-ray within 5 years and annual TB questionnaire required
- Required immunizations or positive titers: Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, Hepatitis B (titer required, vaccine series alone not accepted)
- Tdap vaccine within 10 years or declination accepted
- Negative 12-panel drug screen within 90 days of start
- Seasonal flu vaccine or declination required during flu season (deadline Dec 1)
- COVID vaccine preferred but not required; declination or exemption required if unvaccinated
- Respiratory safety clearance required annually
Additional Notes
- First-time travel nurses are welcome to apply
- Nurse-to-patient ratios: 1:2 during day shifts, 1:1 during night shifts
- No local candidates accepted within 75 miles without proof of address
- Must be able to float to meet facility needs within the region
