Registered Nurse - Rehab (Travel/Contract)
Location: Lewisburg, Pennsylvania
Shift: Nights, 3 shifts every other week (3x12-hour shifts, 18:45–7:15)
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Description
- Work primarily on a night shift schedule with 3 twelve-hour shifts every other week.
- May care for COVID-19 patients.
- Tobacco and fragrance-free facility environment.
- No call requirements.
- Weekend shifts every other week.
- Floating as needed.
- Holiday shifts as needed.
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Pennsylvania.
- Minimum 2 years of rehabilitation nursing experience, with rehabilitation experience within the last year.
- BLS certification issued by the American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
- Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN).
- Experience with Epic electronic health record system.
Required Documentation & Compliance
- Government-issued photo ID (Driver’s License or State ID).
- I-9 attestation and E-Verify compliance.
- Background checks including:
- 7-year criminal background check (must be current within 30 days of start).
- Pennsylvania State Police PATCH search (must be finalized prior to start).
- EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks within 30 days of start.
- PA FBI fingerprinting required within 1 year of start; candidate may start with results pending but must have results on file within 45 days or will be removed from assignment.
- Education verification of highest degree/diploma/transcripts.
- 2 professional references within 3 years.
- Most recent resume or employment application.
- Annual skills checklist.
- Pennsylvania Child Abuse (Childline) search completed 3 business days prior to start and renewed every 5 years.
Required Certifications
- Basic Life Support (BLS) - AHA or ARC provider accepted.
- Acknowledgement of Pass/Fail Testing (must be completed within 48 hours of signed contract).
- Dysrhythmia/EKG Competency Exam (pass/fail exam required within 72 hours of contract signing).
- Additional certifications such as ACLS, PALS, NRP, TNCC, NIH Stroke Certification may be required depending on unit assignment.
Health & Immunization Requirements
- Physical exam within 90 days of start, signed by MD, DO, PA, or NPT.
- Fit mask test required 3 business days prior to start for patient-facing roles; PAPR training if fit test failed.
- Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap vaccine within 10 years of start.
- Negative TB test (QGold or TSpot) within 90 days of start; chest X-ray required if positive TB test.
- Vaccination or positive titer proof required for:
- Rubeola (Measles) – 2 doses or positive titer.
- Mumps – 2 doses or positive titer.
- Rubella – 2 doses or positive titer.
- Hepatitis B – positive titer or full vaccine series (3 doses) plus declination form if applicable.
- Varicella – 2 doses or positive titer.
- Seasonal flu vaccine or valid medical/religious exemption required during flu season.
- COVID-19 vaccine, medical/religious exemption, or declination accepted.
- Negative 9-panel drug test within 1 year of start (specific to agency requirements).
- Respiratory safety clearance within 1 year of start, renewed annually.
Facility Specific Requirements
- Passport-style professional photo for badge.
- Completion and signing of facility-specific documents including:
- Medical Statement Non-Employee Ability to Work form.
- Commitment to Health & Wellness.
- Code of Conduct.
- Confidentiality Agreement.
- Non-Employee Affidavit.
- Hepatitis B declination form if applicable.
- Safety and Security Vehicle Registration.
- Review of facility’s health and safety policies.
- Completion of Learning Management System (LMS) modules on PC/laptop prior to or on first day of orientation (not accessible via cell phone).
- New hire orientation must be completed by end of first day.

- Candidates will be clinically screened and interviewed by the manager before final approval.
