Registered Nurse - Rehab (Travel/Contract)

Location: Lewisburg, Pennsylvania
Shift: Nights, 3 shifts every other week (3x12-hour shifts, 18:45–7:15)
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Description

• Work primarily on a night shift schedule with 3 twelve-hour shifts every other week.
• May care for COVID-19 patients.
• Tobacco and fragrance-free facility environment.
• No call requirements.
• Weekend shifts every other week.
• Floating as needed.
• Holiday shifts as needed.

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Pennsylvania.
• Minimum 2 years of rehabilitation nursing experience, with rehabilitation experience within the last year.
• BLS certification issued by the American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN).
• Experience with Epic electronic health record system.

Required Documentation & Compliance

• Government-issued photo ID (Driver’s License or State ID).
• I-9 attestation and E-Verify compliance.
• Background checks including:

  • 7-year criminal background check (must be current within 30 days of start).
  • Pennsylvania State Police PATCH search (must be finalized prior to start).
  • EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks within 30 days of start.
  • PA FBI fingerprinting required within 1 year of start; candidate may start with results pending but must have results on file within 45 days or will be removed from assignment.
• Education verification of highest degree/diploma/transcripts.
• 2 professional references within 3 years.
• Most recent resume or employment application.
• Annual skills checklist.
• Pennsylvania Child Abuse (Childline) search completed 3 business days prior to start and renewed every 5 years.

Required Certifications

• Basic Life Support (BLS) - AHA or ARC provider accepted.
• Acknowledgement of Pass/Fail Testing (must be completed within 48 hours of signed contract).
• Dysrhythmia/EKG Competency Exam (pass/fail exam required within 72 hours of contract signing).
• Additional certifications such as ACLS, PALS, NRP, TNCC, NIH Stroke Certification may be required depending on unit assignment.

Health & Immunization Requirements

• Physical exam within 90 days of start, signed by MD, DO, PA, or NPT.
• Fit mask test required 3 business days prior to start for patient-facing roles; PAPR training if fit test failed.
• Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap vaccine within 10 years of start.
• Negative TB test (QGold or TSpot) within 90 days of start; chest X-ray required if positive TB test.
• Vaccination or positive titer proof required for:

  • Rubeola (Measles) – 2 doses or positive titer.
  • Mumps – 2 doses or positive titer.
  • Rubella – 2 doses or positive titer.
  • Hepatitis B – positive titer or full vaccine series (3 doses) plus declination form if applicable.
  • Varicella – 2 doses or positive titer.
• Seasonal flu vaccine or valid medical/religious exemption required during flu season.
• COVID-19 vaccine, medical/religious exemption, or declination accepted.
• Negative 9-panel drug test within 1 year of start (specific to agency requirements).
• Respiratory safety clearance within 1 year of start, renewed annually.

Facility Specific Requirements

• Passport-style professional photo for badge.
• Completion and signing of facility-specific documents including:

  • Medical Statement Non-Employee Ability to Work form.
