Description

Respiratory Therapist

Location: Wenatchee, Washington
Employment Type: Long Term
Contract Length: 13 weeks


Shift Details

  • Night shift (1800-0630)
  • 3 shifts per week, 12 hours each (36 hours/week)

Required Qualifications

  • Valid Registered Respiratory Therapist license in Washington
  • Registered, registry eligible, or certified by the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC)
  • Minimum 1 year of Respiratory Therapist experience within the last year
  • BLS, ACLS, and NRP certifications
  • Experience with EPIC electronic health record system

Job Responsibilities

  • Administer medically prescribed respiratory medications safely and effectively, understanding indications and contraindications
  • Administer therapeutic respiratory modalities including Nebulizer, CPT, Flutter Valve, CPAP/BiPAP, and High Flow oxygen therapy following policies and procedures
  • Set up and monitor oxygen aerosol administration and maintain oxygen cylinders properly
  • Perform artificial airway care, including deep blind tracheal suctioning
  • Use respiratory measuring devices such as pulse oximeter, Wright respirometer, manometer, cuff pressure monitors, and oxygen blenders
  • Set up, safety check, monitor, and troubleshoot mechanical ventilators
  • Administer and set up CPAP therapy
  • Maintain accurate and legible clinical documentation in patient charts

Specialty Experience

  • Minimum 1 year of experience as a Respiratory Therapist (implied by licensure and certifications)
