Job Opportunity: Cath Lab Tech
Location: Portland, Oregon
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Details
- Specialty: Radiology / Cardiology
- Shift: Day shift, 4 days per week, 10 hours per day (7:00 AM – 5:00 PM)
- Patient Ratio: 1:1
- No floating between units
- No on-call, weekend, or block schedule requirements
- Facility Type: Short Term Acute Care
- Total Beds: 536
- Teaching Hospital
- Charting System: Epic
- Parking: No fee
Required Qualifications
- Valid Cath Lab Technologist license in Oregon
- Minimum 1 year of Cath Lab Technologist experience within the last year
- Must hold either CCI or ARRT OBMI licensure
- Electrophysiology Technician experience required
Certifications (as applicable)
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) – AHA or Canadian Heart & Stroke Foundation certification
- BLS (Basic Life Support) – AHA or Canadian Heart & Stroke Foundation certification
- Other certifications may be required based on clinical track and specialty (verify with credentialing)
Background and Compliance Requirements
- Government-issued photo ID (Driver’s License or State ID)
- Social Security Card (as applicable for I9)
- Background Check within 90 days of start, covering all locations lived/worked in past 7 years; must be updated annually
- EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks required within 30 days of start, updated monthly
- Education Verification required for all candidates
- Employment Application covering at least last 5 years of employment
- Minimum of 2 professional references covering 1 year of employment in a comparable specialty/setting within the last 3 years
- Physical Exam within 1 year of start, signed by MD, NP, PA, or DO, indicating ability to work with or without accommodation
- Drug Testing: 9 Panel Drug Screen within 12 months of start (instant acceptable)
- Respiratory Safety Clearance required annually for travel candidates
- Annual regulatory and specialty-specific training modules required via LMS (Workramp)
- Passport-style badge photo with neutral background required
Health and Immunization Requirements
- Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 12 months, updated annually
- Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap vaccine within 10 years (declination accepted)
- Measles (Rubeola), Mumps, Rubella: 2 MMR vaccines or positive titer (declination accepted)
- Hepatitis B: Documentation of vaccination series or signed declination
- Varicella: 2 vaccines or positive titer (declination accepted)
- Seasonal Flu vaccine required during flu season (declination accepted)
- COVID-19 vaccination record preferred; declinations not required but unvaccinated must follow infection prevention protocols
- Fit Mask test required annually for travel candidates (onsite testing available if needed)
Additional Notes
- Oregon Neglect Abuse Consent Form and Search required only for specific child care facilities (not applicable here)
- Floating policy acknowledgment required; however, this position does not float between units
- No on-call or weekend shifts required
- Facility provides scrub colors for OR/Cath Lab; any color allowed for other units
- Radiation badges issued by facility as applicable
