Cath Lab Tech - Travel/Contract Position

Location: Hagerstown, Maryland
Specialty: Radiology / Cardiology
Shift: Day shift, 4x10-hour shifts (7:00 AM – 5:30 PM)
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Details

• Weekend work is required.
• On-call required: 12-13 days of call in a 6-week period. Call hours are 5:30 PM to 7:00 AM on weekdays and from 5:30 PM Friday to 7:00 AM Monday on weekends, rotating by call team.
• No floating to other units or sister facilities.
• Guaranteed 40 hours per week.
• First-time travelers are not accepted.

Required Qualifications

• Valid Cath Lab Technologist license in Maryland (pending state licenses are not accepted).
• Minimum 2 years of experience as a Cath Lab Technologist, including experience within the last year.
• Certifications required:

  • ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support)
  • BLS (Basic Life Support)
  • RCIS (Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist)
• Proof of state residency required if using a compact license (driver’s license must match compact license state).

Compliance and Documentation Requirements

• Background checks including 7-year criminal history, EPLS/GSA/SAM, and HHS/OIG, updated annually.
• Physical exam within 1 year of start date.
• Negative 10-panel drug screen within 1 year of start date.
• Fit mask test within 1 year of start date, updated annually (specific mask types required).
• Immunizations and titers required:

  • Tdap vaccine within 10 years
  • Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 1 year (with specific rules for PPD tests)
  • Positive or vaccinated status for Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, and Hepatitis B (or declination)
  • Annual flu vaccine (declinations or exemptions not accepted)
• Required certifications and competency exams as applicable.
• Proof of 2 clinical references.
• Skills checklist and performance evaluations as applicable.

Additional Notes

• Driver’s license/state ID copy required.
• E-Verify or attestation proof required.
• Fingerprinting (Maryland CJIS/DSS/FBI) required for school placements only.
• Orientation safety manual acknowledgement required.
• Medication/pharmacology competency exams required as applicable.
• NIH Stroke Certification required for most units except Pediatrics, OB, and Labor & Delivery; must be updated annually.

This position is suited for experienced Cath Lab Techs who meet the certification and licensing requirements and are comfortable with weekend and on-call responsibilities.
