Job Opportunity: Cardiac Stress Testing Registered Nurse

Location: Wichita Falls, Texas

Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Description

• Provide nursing care in a cardiac stress lab setting.
• Work schedule: Day shift, 5 days a week, 8-hour shifts (7:00 AM to 4:00 PM).
• Occasional weekend call required (approximately 3 weekend shifts per contract).
• Preferred start date within the next 3-5 weeks.

Required Qualifications

• Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Texas.
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN).
• Minimum 1 year of cardiology experience within the last year.
• Current ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) certification.
• Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification issued by the American Heart Association or American Red Cross.

Compliance and Documentation Requirements

• Government-issued photo ID (Driver’s License or State ID).
• Background check within 1 year, including SS trace, county searches (7 years), nationwide, and sex offender registry.
• EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks required within 30 days of start.
• Verification of state nursing license and NURSYS verification within 30 days of start.
• Competency exams and medication/pharmacology tests as applicable.
• Physical exam within 1 year, must be completed within 72 hours of contract signing.
• Immunizations and health screenings required within 72 hours of contract signing or as noted:

  • TDAP vaccine within 10 years.
  • Negative TB test (2-step PPD, Q Gold, or TSpot) within 1 year or chest X-ray within 5 years if positive PPD.
  • Measles (Rubeola), Mumps, Rubella: 2 vaccines or positive titer; exemptions apply for candidates born before 1957.
  • Hepatitis B: Positive titer, series, or declination accepted.
  • Varicella: 2 vaccines, positive titer, or history of chickenpox.
  • Seasonal flu vaccine required during flu season (Oct 1 - May 31) or facility-specific medical/religious exemption.
  • COVID-19 vaccination documentation required.
• Drug screening: Negative 9-panel drug test within 1 year; must have plan for completion within 72 hours of contract signing.
• References: 2 professional references within the last 3 years.
• Employment application or resume required.
• Annual updates required for background checks, skills checklist, and orientation safety manual acknowledgment.

Facility-Specific Requirements

• Completion of facility-specific documents prior to start, including parking policy acknowledgment and orientation forms.
• Submission of flu medical or religious exemption if applicable.
• Completion of traveler orientation and confidentiality agreements as required.

Additional Notes

• Candidates must be prepared for occasional weekend shifts and on-call responsibilities.
• Travel experience is preferred to ensure smooth transition into the contract role.
• All certifications and documentation must be current and verifiable within specified timeframes.
