Registered Nurse (Emergency Department) - Travel Position
Location: Santa Fe, New Mexico
Employment Type: Travel
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Summary
The Registered Nurse coordinates and implements patient care tailored to the patient population on assigned units during night shifts. Ensures quality, efficient, and safe care consistent with unit standards. Demonstrates professionalism and respect toward staff, physicians, patients, and families.
Work Schedule
- Night shift: 7 PM to 7 AM
- Every other weekend required
- Floating between locations required
- No on-call requirement
- Full-time
Responsibilities
- Perform initial patient assessments and prioritize care based on age, symptoms, and psychosocial needs
- Systematically re-assess patients to monitor progress and identify needs for intervention
- Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized plans of care within nursing standards
- Make comprehensive nursing decisions and modify care plans accordingly
- Participate in patient and family health education and discharge planning
- Perform and document timely interventions and Point of Care testing procedures
- Demonstrate leadership competencies appropriate to role level
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in New Mexico
- Minimum of 1 year of Emergency Department (ED) experience, with recent ED experience within the last year
- Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
- Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification issued by the American Heart Association
- Current ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification
- Current PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) certification issued by the American Heart Association
- Current TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course) certification
