Sonographer - Ultrasound

Location: Uniontown, Pennsylvania
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: Day and Evening (rotating shifts including weekends, holidays, and on-call)
Hours: 8 hours per day, 40 hours per week

Job Summary

Perform non-invasive imaging procedures in cardiac and vascular laboratories, including echocardiograms, stress echos, venous and arterial duplexes, and other related diagnostic tests. Coordinate patient scheduling, ensure timely completion of procedures, and maintain accurate documentation for physician review and billing.

Required Qualifications

• Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RCS) via CCI or
• Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer Adult Echocardiography (RDCS-AE) via ARDMS or
• Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS), Registered Congenital Cardiac Sonographer (RCCS), Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT), or Registered Vascular Specialist (RVS) certification
• BLS (AHA) Certification
• Breast imaging experience is required

Key Responsibilities

• Perform all non-invasive cardiac or vascular imaging procedures according to certification and established guidelines
• Obtain patient information prior to testing and provide courteous communication to patients and families
• Notify medical staff of abnormal imaging findings as appropriate
• Document procedures accurately in patient charts and through EPIC for billing purposes
• Calculate and measure cardiovascular structures to assist physician diagnosis
• Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of equipment, procedure rooms, and work areas
• Maintain patient confidentiality at all times
