Registered Nurse – PCU (Night Shift) – Fayetteville, North Carolina

Job Details

  • Employment Type: Travel/Contract
  • Contract Length: 13 weeks
  • Shift: Night (3 shifts per week, 12 hours each; 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM)
  • Hours per Week: 36
  • Patient Ratio: 1:4-5
  • Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
  • Float Requirement: Must float within scope to meet facility needs between like units
  • Block Scheduling: Open to accommodating block scheduling
  • Local Candidates: Not accepted (must be outside a 50-mile radius from the main campus)
  • Travel Pairs: Not accepted
  • Guaranteed Hours: Call-off policy allows 2 shifts off per 13-week assignment; all contracted shifts beyond that are guaranteed
  • Return Staff Policy: Must be gone for 1 year to return as a traveler
  • Contract Limit: Maximum of 2 contracts (one extension allowed), then must be gone for 6 months before returning
  • First-Time Travelers: Accepted

Required Qualifications

  • Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in North Carolina
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in Progressive Care Unit (PCU), with at least some PCU experience within the last year
  • BLS certification issued by the American Heart Association
  • NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification
  • Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)

Marigold is polite and professional. She goes above and beyond to ensure the contractor is well informed and has everything needed to be successful. She helped me with onboarding and getting used to the timesheet app and she answers my texts promptly, even after hours. She is a great recruiter liason. Gladys was a super helpful with onboarding and Denise will hook you up with benefits with no trouble at all. Great team to work with.

Cons

Onboarding is somewhat tedious, but they do dot every "i" and cross every T.
