Registered Nurse - Med-Surg Tele
Job Details
- Specialty: Medical-Surgical with Oncology focus, including Telemetry
- Shift: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
- Hours per Week: 36
- Contract Length: 13 weeks (with potential extensions)
- Weekend Schedule: Every other weekend required
- Summer Holidays: Required to work at least one summer holiday during the contract
- Patient Ratio: 3-4 patients per nurse
- Unit Size: Currently 12 beds staffed, expanding by 9 beds
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Pennsylvania
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
- Minimum 2 years of Medical-Surgical nursing experience with a focus on Telemetry
- Medical-Surgical and Telemetry experience within the last year
- Oncology nursing experience
- ACLS certification
- BLS certification
Compliance and Screening Requirements
- Background check and drug screening
- Competency exams including Dysrhythmia Basic A
- Color vision screening
- Fit mask test
- Immunizations and health screenings: Hepatitis B, MMR, TdaP, Varicella, TB screening
- Employment and educational verification
- License verification and NURSYS check
- Various sanction and registry screenings (e.g., FACIS, SAM, OFAC, National Sex Offender)
