Description
Physical Therapist Travel Position
Location: Festus, Missouri
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: Days, 5 days a week, 8 hours per day
Hours per Week: 36
Job Summary
- Provide 1:1 physical therapy services primarily to adult patients with orthopedic, orthopedic surgical, pain management, neurological, or sports medicine diagnoses.
- Perform initial assessments and develop plans of care upon physician orders following departmental policies and standards of care.
- PT evaluations typically last 60 minutes; treatment sessions are usually 30 minutes but may be adjusted based on patient needs.
- Maintain productivity expectations of 80% patient care time per shift.
- Work within a multidisciplinary outpatient therapy department that also includes occupational and speech therapy.
- No double booking of patients or use of techs for patient treatment.
- Float to other areas as needed.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Physical Therapist license in Missouri
Work Environment & Culture
- Supportive and welcoming therapy department with a range of experience levels from new graduates to seasoned therapists.
- Team player with versatility, flexibility, excellent communication skills, and ability to get along well with others is preferred.
- Dress code requires black scrubs; other attire is not acceptable.

- Facility is a 251-bed acute care hospital with 24-hour emergency services and a full range of diagnostic, preventive, and restorative healthcare services.
- Electronic Medical Record system used: EPIC.
